having hardwood floors is a fabulous thing. i'm always amazed when people cover it up with carpet, especially if it's the original old wood. granted, it's not great from an insulation standpoint-it typically allows for sound to flow freely, but oh what a beauty they can be. if you're like me and dream about these rustic wood platforms, check out these innovative ways to repurpose that old floor of yours.
