mauviel copper cookware set. i am embarking on a new cook book expedition and am coveting these lovelies. while i've been told they are not that forgiving to cooks of my experience (apparently they get ver hot very quickly) however, they are just so beautiful that i don't even care if the result isn't as tasty as they could be. i'll just look at the pans while i eat. get yours here
this cookbook. it's amazing and i'm always looking for new ideas and inspiration.
outdoor dining wire chairs from west elm. i have always had a special place in my heart for wire chairs. while my loves is a bigger guy and i'm not too sure how they'd fare, i might be daring enough to put them to the test one day soon. take a peek at them here

loves: ron marvin design.

stumbled upon ron marvin designs...i'm in. a life-long follower as of now. his masculine touches and bold paint choices are so inspiring. despite the more manly touches, the comfort level and warm textures he uses make his spaces enjoyable for all. loves.

about:"ron marvin design is a new york city-based interior design firm. traditional home magazine recently named ron one of their top 20 new traditional, showcasing him in the launch of their new online magazine trad home. ron’s work has also been featured in lonny magazine, as a part of the premiere issue. a make over project was published in the new york times. his new york home has been shown in metropolitan home magazine, and on the HGTV show “small space big style”. after being featured on the show, ron was asked to join the show as an on-air expert. prior to opening his firm, ron worked for over 12 years in the visual merchandising departments of such companies as gap, williams-sonoma, pottery barn, west elm, hold everything, and williams-sonoma home. he influenced the way these stores look through visual merchandising, store design, styling and art direction for in-store marketing."

knocking

the easiest way to make big changes to any piece of furniture is to add a little pizzazz with updated hardware. i adore the options that anthro carries, and if you keep a close eye, you can typically get them on sale for less than $3. our house has an abundance of these little additions:

com-packed.

packing.

 the gist:

pool day? beachy brunch? lounging while getting ready? this amazing oversized men's shirt doubles as a swim cover-up and a casual dress when a simple belt is included. i typically chose a more conservative swim suit for weddings as young kids and family members tend to join in the fun-in-the-sun and showing too much skin can lead to an awkward introduction. plus, you want to make sure you don't take any attention away from the couple of the hour. and did i mention this chic top was $19 at anthro. the sale rack i tell you. i bee-line for it every time. sun hat was a weekend world market impulse buy. i think i'll appreciate it this summer!

a basic silk j. crew shift in a bright and versatile color means all you have to add is a bobble and fun (yet comfy) heels and you're good-to-go for a rehearsal dinner, bridesmaid lunch, or even a more laid-back wedding. it's super light weight which means you can fit more accessories and change-up the look depending on how you feel that day-or after you find out what other guests are donning.

i love, love, love this. bright, fun shorts. the pleats add something fun and make them a little more interesting than the run of the mill cut-offs. this lightweight jewelled sweater is amazing and can be worn with so many different bottoms. i plan on pulling this out for a departure brunch, but it can be worn anytime. shopping around, wedding-day activities, traveling...you get the picture.

and finally. a classic and fun wedding guest dress. i saw this over christmas and it was on sale-like, almost for free. i kid you not. while the color and cut wasn't suited for a colorado winter, i knew it'd come in handy for wedding season (we already had six invites for summer weddings by january). so, it looks like i'll have several times to wear this favorite. it's been patiently hanging in my closet and it's ready to be showcased. it's understated yet fun-the sheer collar allows for me to really dance (robot mostly) and the cut allows for me to enjoy all the wedding cake i want. it can be as dressed up as you like based on the shoes and clutch you pick.
