we've had some amazing trips this past year-and stayed at some equally impressive hotels. one of my favorite parts about traveling is the exposure to different cultures, arts and design. needless to say, i've gathered an abundance of inspiration from some of the gorge bedrooms we've gotten to shack up at this year.

chaise-ing around.

so remember how i told you i am lucky enough to have fabulous new clients who have hired me to update their home? well yes, it's true and i am beyond excited. i literally dream about what i am going to do, how i am going to place the furniture, the colors and patterns i will integrate into the room. but what really weighs on my mind is how to keep costs down while ensuring they have durable and real pieces that will stand the test-of-time. my goal this week is to find an affordable, beautiful, luxe (basically perfect) chaise lounge. while i think we may go the ikea route (i try to stay away and go for one-of-a-kind gems), in a perfect world we would go with one of these:

transition team.

hello dolls. living in DC has been a tough adjustment. not so much for a lack of fun activities, friends or outings, but mostly for my skin and hair. 90 degrees one day, scorching sun and super humid--the next day it's rainy, cold and soaking wet. needless to say, these are a few of my MUST HAVE's for the transition from winter to spring. enjoy!

 

la mer's moisturizing cream. a life saver. i'm truly obsessed and have seen a dramatic change in my complexion. it's a wonder cream. sometimes i even rub it on Q's face when he's sleeping. he loves it.

my oribe hair products. picked these two gems up at immortal beloved on the suggestion of my stylist and couldn't be more pleased with the results. after chopping 12-inches off in november, finding ways to tame the short do isn't always easy. try the blow-out spray and anti-humidity mist. amaze. 

   

 dr. dennis gross clarifying sulphur mask. leave on for ten minutes or overnight-either works and it works well. you are promised less oil, less redness and a general refresh. 

see by chloe. light, crisp, not to floral but fresh. a great summer spritz. 

i hope you experience the same results. can't live without any of these. and can't decide which one i love more. they are all lusts and musts and so worth it. loves.

a few of the home updates i've been working on have been so fufilling and reinforce my inkling to go full-steam-ahead into my design work. 

a fabulous lamp bought for a very reasonable price here in the district. while it needed a little something, it was such a joy to update and was a great addition to the home.
